Technical Assistance for Processors To help processors achieve the best finished parts and products, Teijin Kasei America has developed two, easy-to-use, cross-reference guides for troubleshooting processing problems. The General Purpose Troubleshooting Guide can be used for assistance when processing lenses and parts used in electrical and electronic, appliance, lighting, office equipment, automotive, precision machinery and miscellaneous other applications. The user selects the processing defect encountered (e.g., weld mark, silver streak, etc.), and then is taken to a chart with the possible causes and associated countermeasures to correct the specific defect. The Optical Disc Troubleshooting Guide is designed to assist molders producing disc media such as CD, MO, MD, DVD, DVD-ROM, etc. This guide works similarly to the general purpose guide, but deals with the specific defects encountered in disc molding.
